Ajit Ravi organises International Fashion Fest
Introducing new designs, Ajit Ravi, who launched the Miss Asia, Miss Queen of India, Miss South India and Mrs South India contests, has organised the fifth season of the International Fashion Fest on March 27 at Ramada resorts, Kochi, Kerala.
ThasneemSufiyan, Noushija, and Sooraj Acharya have been the prime designers of the show in which the ‘Mangalya Fest’ has become a theme by highlighting the wedding designs.
When Rajiv Pillai, wearing silk kurta and carrot pants, and Adithi, wearing blue velvet lehenga with leather coating, has showcased the exceptional designing skill of ThasneemSufiyan, who has captured the audience’s attention with the ‘Gouzy-Cossy’ collections, Noushija, with her ‘Reception Bridal Wear’ collections, has sent renowned film actress Gayathri Suresh, who has been dressed in deep blackish maroon clothes.
Notably, in the Thasneem’s comfortable and light weight clothes, which have been consciously designed for the Hindu, Muslim and Christian wedding functions, real metals have been used.
Noushija’smodels, who has been dressed in the row silk clothes beautified with the hand jerry works, has been felicitated with loud applause.
Sooraj Acharya has also proved his skill with the ethnic wear wedding collections (Navabi, Indo-western, and Jodhpur suites). Serial actor VivekGopan, who has been dressed in the pure silk cloth decorated with white chain stones, has been the showstopper of Mr Acharya.
This fashion fest has also tried to question the trend of bringing in the non-Keralite models in the fashion fest organised in our state. Giving a strong message, Mr Ajit Ravi said that he has only selected Keralite models for his show. DaluKrishnadas has been the choreographer of the show.
Meanwhile, during the function, V P Nandakumar, the MD and CEO of Manappuram, has released the ‘Legends of Kerala’, a coffee table book which contains stories of those businesslegends who have secured remarkable achievements in the business and social sectors, and has launched the DQ watches, an International brand, in Kerala.
